The {L} Family - Sebastopol Family Photographer

Since the beginning of my photography business I have relied strictly on referrals to grow the my clientele.  I can retrace every client back to one of my original photo sessions three years ago.  Since my first 'real' session I have become genuine friends with many of my clients and nothing makes my feet do a little happy dance than a client referral.  My gratitude for referrals runs very deep.

Such is the case with the {L} family who was interested in a session to commemorate their family of five after seeing images from another their friends I recently photographed.  After debating over the location of the shoot we ended up settling on a piece of family property in Sebastopol.  When it was described to me as an apple orchard with barns I was excited.  When I arrived I was even more excited.  It is a perfect photography session location - so much so that they could rent it out :)  We had grass, orchards, redwood trees, tire swings, tractors, and more.  My feet really did a happy dance.

Meet the super fun, super cute {L} family...

    And their three adorable kiddos...

And, of course, I cannot forget about their original family member, Nemo the dog.  As a family who considers our dog as our first born I know how important it is include our furry friends in photo sessions.

A barn with a green tractor and two cute kiddos on it...perfection!  These two love on each other so much and were so sweet to each other all evening.  You can tell that they have a great brother-sister relationship, which is inspiring.

During my family photo sessions I let the mood of the little ones determine what we do next, but my goal is to continuously shoot and have my camera ready to go.  When one, or more, littles need a break I take the opportunity to grab individual shots or different pairings of family members.  Plus, it is always a great moment to steal a few pictures of the original family members - the couple who started it all :)

Love love love the next image...

Getting a dog to pose isn't the easiest feat in the world, sometimes you just have to let them meander around and continue shooting.

The toothless smile on Miss {J} just gets me every time :)

I will end this post with a great classic family photo...

The {L} Family - Thank you for being so patient with me finally getting this blog post up and, of course, thank you for letting me capture your family of five (six including Nemo!) I had a great time meeting each of you.  Your family property was amazing to photograph on and I enjoyed every minute chatting with your kiddos.  They have the best personalities and were so sweet to me.  Quite a testament to their parents :)  Looking forward to seeing you again in the future.

The {O} Family - Sebastopol Family Photographer

Despite the sweat dripping off my face throughout their entire session due to the 90 degree weather and the frequent Giants game updates (which went from good to really bad and then to great), I enjoyed another fabulous family portrait session in Sebastopol this past weekend, this time with the {O} family.  I am not quite sure how I have been so blessed at meeting such nice, friendly and photogenic families, but I am very thankful.

Case in point...don't you want to just sweep this little one up in your arms and cover her in kisses?

Little Miss {L} is a six month old full of smiles...and more smiles.

And when you add her older sister, with another set of enviable eyes, into the mix it really does make for some outstanding images.

Little Miss {L} just loved my white rug throughout the evening, her mom definitely needs to look into purchasing one for her room :)  She is two and a half and is a very smart gal, in fact, she was potty trained in one day.  Amazing.  That little recent development in her life allowed for some fun conversations and sayings to get laughter and smiles while we were photographing.  Whatever it takes to get genuine reactions :)

The next series of photos get me every time...seeing a father with his daughter, sigh, such a special bond.

    Time for a family hug!

The {O} family - Thank you for being patient with the scheduling conflicts and for making me feel so welcome with your family.  I hope that the delayed wait was worth it!  Seeing you interact with your daughters makes me even more excited for welcoming my own daughter into the world.  I appreciate your words of encouragement and advice, and I look forward to keeping in touch.

    xoxo

The {B} Family - Sebastopol Family Photographer

Capturing connections between family members melts my heart, capturing moments with gorgeous family members like the {B} family melt my heart even more.  Adorable, no?

Meet Mr {L} a spunky strong and smiley 6 month old...he is enamored with his big brother's activities and loves giving his mom big kisses :)

Meet Mr {A} - full of life for a two and a half year old with the sweetest eyes that just draw you right in.  Although he was not a big fan of my camera and we did not quite capture all the shots that his mom and I were hoping for, he certainly made the evening full of laughter and fun :)

One guess on what {A} is going to dress up as for Halloween...

Is there anything better than being on top of the world on your father's shoulders?

The {B} Family - Thank you for contacting me to take your family portraits this year and inviting me into your home, I could have stayed and talked with each of you for the rest of the evening :)  It was lovely to see the interactions between the four of you, your boys are perfect reflections of each of you.  I hope that {A} was able to get a special treat for putting up with me and my camera for the evening and I hope to see you soon!

    xoxo
