Miss Cambrie - Personal

Somehow this past Friday my baby girl turned one half years old. My husband and I have asked the typical parent question of 'where have the past six months gone?' Not a day goes by that we do not pinch ourselves over our blessings and wonder what we ever did so right to deserve such a little cutie that we get to call ours...

To celebrate her many milestones this past week I took 15 minutes out of lounging during a family beach vacation in Santa Cruz to snap some images of my daughter. One thing is quite certain...she is a ham for the camera and 9 times out of 10 smiles instantly whenever I get my SLR's, point and shoot or phone camera ready.

Milestones for my little this week include eating solids on her six month birthday, cutting her first *two* teeth and starting to creep (but not yet crawl) all over the place. I am certain that someone replaced my baby with a big girl overnight and it makes me sad.

These images are a perfect example of simple photography...I simply propped her up on the bed in our bedroom for the week, opened the window blinds and pointed her towards the morning light. Then I just let loose on my shutter while Cambrie was just Cambrie. Simple, unposed, real images of the life of my girlie.

As we figured, the past six months have changed our lives in ways that we could never prepare ourselves for. We have learned more about patience, about pure laughter, about lack of sleep and about the limitless boundaries of unconditional love.

Cambrie Loren has completely stolen the hearts of our family and friends. She is a laughing, content, independent and sometimes stubborn girl who truly makes every day a better day.
Little baby bug - I cannot really put to words how much you mean to me. I love how you smile with your eyes. I love your cloth diapered little bum. I love 'watching your eyelashes' grow. I love your baby feet and chubby hands. I love your whispy hair (and I constantly hope that will turn out like your mom's and not your dad's). I love your belly laughs that you seem to reserve for your father. I love your strong curiosity in the whole wide world. I love you for every inch of you. I love you for making me a mother. Thank you for the past six months, I am looking forward to every moment of the future.
