    Miss Cambrie - Personal

Somehow this past Friday my baby girl turned one half years old.  My husband and I have asked the typical parent question of 'where have the past six months gone?'  Not a day goes by that we do not pinch ourselves over our blessings and wonder what we ever did so right to deserve such a little cutie that we get to call ours...

To celebrate her many milestones this past week I took 15 minutes out of lounging during a family beach vacation in Santa Cruz to snap some images of my daughter.  One thing is quite certain...she is a ham for the camera and 9 times out of 10 smiles instantly whenever I get my SLR's, point and shoot or phone camera ready.

Milestones for my little this week include eating solids on her six month birthday, cutting her first *two* teeth and starting to creep (but not yet crawl) all over the place.  I am certain that someone replaced my baby with a big girl overnight and it makes me sad.

These images are a perfect example of simple photography...I simply propped her up on the bed in our bedroom for the week, opened the window blinds and pointed her towards the morning light.  Then I just let loose on my shutter while Cambrie was just Cambrie.  Simple, unposed, real images of the life of my girlie.

As we figured, the past six months have changed our lives in ways that we could never prepare ourselves for.  We have learned more about patience, about pure laughter, about lack of sleep and about the limitless boundaries of unconditional love.

Cambrie Loren has completely stolen the hearts of our family and friends.  She is a laughing, content, independent and sometimes stubborn girl who truly makes every day a better day.

Little baby bug - I cannot really put to words how much you mean to me.   I love how you smile with your eyes.  I love your cloth diapered little bum.  I love 'watching your eyelashes' grow.  I love your baby feet and chubby hands.  I love your whispy hair (and I constantly hope that will turn out like your mom's and not your dad's).  I love your belly laughs that you seem to reserve for your father.  I love your strong curiosity in the whole wide world.  I love you for every inch of you.  I love you for making me a mother.  Thank you for the past six months, I am looking forward to every moment of the future.

Miss {A} - Windsor Child Photographer

It was a very bright and very warm morning at Riverfront Park in Windsor when my sister's family, my father and my daughter all met to capture updated images of my niece.  She did great despite the heat and the constant encouragement from her family members for her to do her 'tricks' in front of the camera.  Like this one...'how big is Avery?' 'Sooooo big!'

Those expressive eyes...those cute little teeth...sweet sweet little girl.

Heehee...I love some baby rolls :)

    Be still my heart...

She looks like such a big girl in these pictures, it is so hard believe that just 16 months ago she was a mere six pounds.  What a difference time, love and encouragement makes.

The following picture is definitely one that makes me cry.  My husband started this expression with Avery while on a family trip last month.  Now whenever Avery sees her Uncle D she does this and he returns the favor.  It is their little 'thing' and it is so cute to see how much they adore one another.

Little miss just loves having a real baby around all the time.  When she sees me she says 'baby.'  I am apparently no longer 'Auntie' I am just the baby carrier :)  Cambrie and Avery have a blast together despite their 10 month age difference.  Here Avery is bringing a flower to the baby...

Avery recently discovered her love for Snow White.  It is the only movie that she has watched, but she only gets to see the song and dance scenes.  She loves all the characters and sings the songs in her cute little voice.  She even walks like Dopey does with his hands behind his back.  In the next series of images she is singing with the prompting of my dad and in the last image she is dancing like Dopey :)

Time for an outfit change and a scenery change in the vineyard...

My sweet Avery - I cannot express how much you mean to me.  You have brought such joy into our family.  We knew that you would, but we never knew just how much joy was possible from such a little baby.  This past sixteen months it has been wonderful watching you change and grow and thrive.  You went from crawling to walking from cooing to talking up a storm.  You are the most social little girl and just love giving hugs and blowing kisses.  You went from the only baby in the family to being the big girl without a hesitation and you are such a wonderful big cousin to my daughter.

You will always have a special place in my heart.  I look forward to teaching you more 'tricks' in the future (keep working on making your two hands into a telescope my dear) and creating memories that will last both of us a lifetime.

Thank you for reminding me about the simple joy in life and for keeping us all entertained with your contagiously happy personality.

Miss {R} - Windsor Child Photographer

There are many milestones within a little ones life and the special milestones should be documented and celebrated.  What better way to commemorate six months than with a photo session between a daughter and her mother.

I had grand plans for a fun session in the backyard but the crazy weather that Sonoma County has had the last few days ruined those plans.  So, we stayed inside to capture the moments in Miss {R}'s purple room with some great natural light from the cloudy skies coming in through her bedroom window.

    These images capture pure love...

I look forward to having similar images between be and my daughter soon :)

The best part about in home lifestyle photography is the ability to take a break when breaks are needed.  So, we headed downstairs for a bottle.  In between the conversation, I kept clicking away to gather more of the images capturing daily life for this little beauty.

I always ask my clients what their goals are with their custom photo session, and one goal for Miss {R}'s session was to have photos in her crib.  Thankfully our bottle break provided the perfect after snack mood for a little crib play time.

Love all of her different expressions...and, of course, her fascination with her toes :)

    Aahhh...perfection in a moment...

Miss {R}'s fabulous Mama - Thank you for allowing me to spend time with the two of you and capture your love.  It just warms my heart to see a mother of one child turn into a mother of two children.  You are full of wisdom and I appreciate your openness to share parts of that with me.  Your son and daughter are beyond lucky to have you as their mother.  xoxo

Caution - Boys at Play! Healdsburg Child Photographer

Yesterday I was in heaven - I spent the morning playing with two adorable lil' boys.  Well, let me rephrase that - I wasn't quite able to play with all the toys - but I was able to capture their playtime with my camera.  :) These two youngins' are all B-O-Y.  Rocketship and spaceship? Check.  Planes/Train/Automobiles? Check. Toy Story/Woody/BuzzLightyear fans? Check.

This session was especially fun because it was relaxed and the goal was to capture the 'real' moments between two best friends.  I wasn't concerned about lighting, props or poses (because honestly - with that many fun toys laying around it took a miracle to get one of them to actually look at the camera!)  And I think the results turned out great - real moments from real memories that these boys mom's will treasure.

My husband walked into my office while I was editing this photo and we agreed that this image really makes me think of childhood.  Don't you remember that moment of pure excitement from being pushed on a swing with your head tilted back looking up at the sky?  I remember it like it was just yesterday.

And of course - we had a little unprovoked goofy-ness too :)

This little heart-breaker is Tyler - you might remember him from his from family session with Melissa Morelli Photography back in January.  He is adorable.  Full of life, but such a sweetheart at the same time.  He is quite the entertainer and he loves his mama so much.  Their relationship is just heart-melting to watch - and so are his eyes.  Sigh.

And this is my new little buddy Owen - he reminds me of what I picture my husband like as a child.  Very observant and methodical and easily persuaded by any sort of toy with wheels on it :)  Owen is going to be a big brother in November - one cute shot of him (that isn't on the blog) shows him pointing out of the playhouse - I asked him to point where his little sister was and he was so excited to show her off.  Just adorable.

Owen has gorgeous eye lashes - I completely agree with his mom when wondering why that always seems to happen to the boys!?!

    Back to playin....

The following picture makes me laugh...we were talking with Tyler about 'the noise' made when changing the tires on cars.  You can completely see him making 'the noise' here :)

Tyler and Owen - thank you so much for being such great boys yesterday morning.  I can tell that you two have so much fun together - I was impressed at how well you shared toys and cleaned up when it was time for lunchtime.  Keep up the good work!  Your mom's love you both very much and they are so proud of the little men that you are growing up to be.  I hope that you both continue playing together for years to come and that these images will bring back glimpses of your childhood playdates.

Tyler and Owen's Mom's - thank you for the opportunity to hang out with each of you - I had a great time!  You are both wonderful, beautiful, strong women - and I left yesterday a smarter better person from your presence.  Enjoy the second sneak peek of images - your complete gallery will be ready in a few days.  xoxo

Miss Ryanne - Part Two - Rohnert Park Child Photographer

I have many, many, many more photos of Miss Ryanne - she is honestly too cute for words.  I love all the different facial expressions that kiddos have - and I think that I captured the wide range of Ryanne's expressions throughout our photo session last week.

Running, jumping, laughing, playing...all the action words to describe childhood...

There is a bit of heavy editing on the following photo - but I really liked the moment and thought the editing treatments worked well with the feel of the image...

Everytime I play peek-a-boo with my camera and a little one, I notice that the little ones are often peaking at me through their fingers :)

Another sweet moment between Ryanne and her mom...

Ahh - to be young again...

Miss Ryanne - quite simply - thank you for being you.  You will always hold a very special place in my heart.  xoxo
