Miss {A} - Windsor Child Photographer

It was a very bright and very warm morning at Riverfront Park in Windsor when my sister's family, my father and my daughter all met to capture updated images of my niece.  She did great despite the heat and the constant encouragement from her family members for her to do her 'tricks' in front of the camera.  Like this one...'how big is Avery?' 'Sooooo big!'

Those expressive eyes...those cute little teeth...sweet sweet little girl.

Heehee...I love some baby rolls :)

    Be still my heart...

She looks like such a big girl in these pictures, it is so hard believe that just 16 months ago she was a mere six pounds.  What a difference time, love and encouragement makes.

The following picture is definitely one that makes me cry.  My husband started this expression with Avery while on a family trip last month.  Now whenever Avery sees her Uncle D she does this and he returns the favor.  It is their little 'thing' and it is so cute to see how much they adore one another.

Little miss just loves having a real baby around all the time.  When she sees me she says 'baby.'  I am apparently no longer 'Auntie' I am just the baby carrier :)  Cambrie and Avery have a blast together despite their 10 month age difference.  Here Avery is bringing a flower to the baby...

Avery recently discovered her love for Snow White.  It is the only movie that she has watched, but she only gets to see the song and dance scenes.  She loves all the characters and sings the songs in her cute little voice.  She even walks like Dopey does with his hands behind his back.  In the next series of images she is singing with the prompting of my dad and in the last image she is dancing like Dopey :)

Time for an outfit change and a scenery change in the vineyard...

My sweet Avery - I cannot express how much you mean to me.  You have brought such joy into our family.  We knew that you would, but we never knew just how much joy was possible from such a little baby.  This past sixteen months it has been wonderful watching you change and grow and thrive.  You went from crawling to walking from cooing to talking up a storm.  You are the most social little girl and just love giving hugs and blowing kisses.  You went from the only baby in the family to being the big girl without a hesitation and you are such a wonderful big cousin to my daughter.

You will always have a special place in my heart.  I look forward to teaching you more 'tricks' in the future (keep working on making your two hands into a telescope my dear) and creating memories that will last both of us a lifetime.

Thank you for reminding me about the simple joy in life and for keeping us all entertained with your contagiously happy personality.

The {I} Family - Rohnert Park Family Photographer

I cannot think of a better reason to schedule a family photo session that to celebrate the milestone of reaching one year old.  Several weeks ago, I met up with this adorable family of three to commemorate their daughters one year birthday.

You might remember them from their maternity session - what a difference one year makes!

We once again returned to Sonoma State for their session, it is such a fitting background for this family since it is the place where everything started.  When clients book a session, my preference is that they select their location.  Of course, I have plenty of options and suggestions in case they are at a loss.  But, my preference is for the location to be meaningful to my clients.  It just brings a whole other level of memories to their pictures.

When my husband and I had our maternity photos taken, I really wanted the country road behind our house to be highlighted.  We walk with our dog almost every night in the evenings and it was important for me to have this part of our lives captured on 'film.'

What a good lookin' happy family of three!

There are so many fun things about being a little kiddo...one that comes to mind is being thrown up in the air.  This picture captures the essence of childhood with a big smile on her, wind blowing through her hair and her fathers strong hands reaching towards hers.

It was important to capture pictures with their daughter and a family heirloom antique stroller, this little girls father and grandfather have each have photos with it.  Isn't it crazy to see how much strollers have 'aged' or 'advanced' in the last few decades?

I loved the second outfit change, perfectly colored dress and coordinated shoes, it complimented the location so well too.

A traditional family portrait rounded out the session...

The {I} Family - Thank you for allowing me to capture this special time in your life.  I truly have enjoyed seeing you grow from a couple to a family.  Your daughter is just a bundle of joy and is so full of life - a true testament to her parents.  Enjoy the next round of milestones and, of course, enjoy your images!  xoxo

The {B} Family - Sebastopol Family Photographer

Last Sunday after reschedules due to weather and black eyes (ahhh, the life of having two toddlers who are boys), I was finally able to get this family in front of my camera again.  We ventured to Ragle Park in Sebastopol for a fun afternoon.  This location is quickly becoming one of my favorites, I love the versatile locations and there are lots of entertainment for the little ones.

Last time we met, this little man was just six months and learning to sit up.  Now he is walking around without fear and exploring the world around him.  I am always amazed at their accomplishments in such a short time period.

    What a cute family!!!

There is nothing like being mesmerized by leaves that your mom sprinkles in the air :)

At first this little man didn't remember me, but by the end of the session we were fast friends again.  I love meeting new friends, of all ages.

At the end of the session, we decided to have a little play time to show off what the {B} family does best...play together.

{B} family - thank you for trusting me to capture this next milestone in your families life.  I certainly appreciate it and I hope that you treasure these images.  I am sincerely looking forward to meeting again in the future.  xoxo

The {B} Family - Rohnert Park Family Photographer

It was a warm overcast day last Friday and it was the perfect day to capture and celebrate a family who recently turned into a family of four.  As you can tell from the images we had a great time walking the campus at Sonoma State. I love the versatility of the images that you can capture from the same location.  And, of course, I love having a loving family in front of my camera too :)

Miss {A} brought along her Georgie doll complete with a matching dress, which I loved.  It is fun when the little ones bring along their favorite things to the photo sessions.  It helps keep them happy, plus it is a great reminder in the future about what their little lives used to be centered around.

    Ahh...right where she belongs....

This image reminds me of one of my favorite quotes 'all because two people fell in love.'

The {M} Family - Rohnert Park Family Photographer

Today's blog post is about two months past due, since it is from a session in October...but, I figured that everything is better late than never :)

    Meet cutie pie Mr. {J}...

And Miss {D}, the first 'baby' in the family...

His blue eyes are just too much for be to handle at times...they just take you in!

    And the whole family together...

After photos at the families home, we headed to the pumpkin patch for a few theme photos...

And, we just couldn't resist putting Mr. {J} in his Halloween costume :)
